Soprano Etīna Emīlija Saulīte (born 2005, Latvia) is one of the most exceptional young voices to have emerged from the Baltic region in recent years — a singer whose rapid international trajectory has already taken her from Riga to Teatro alla Scala, Budapest, and Berlin before the age of twenty-one.
She completed her diploma in music theory, classical vocal, and history at the NMV Emīla Dārziņa Music School in Riga (2022–2025), studying voice under Irma Pavāre. Her development was further shaped by private coaching from Marek Rzepka, Edgars Kramiņš, Irina Gavrilovici, and Irma Pavāre.
From September 2023 to June 2025, she was a member of the Latvian National Opera choir, during which time she began performing as a soloist in major concerts. In April 2025 she made her role debut as Liù in Puccini's Turandot at the LNO — an engagement running through January 2026.
In June 2025 she completed the Georg Solti Accademia in Italy, and was invited to perform at the prestigious Solti Gala with Rising Stars at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest on 19 October 2025 — singing arias from La Bohème and La Traviata alongside an international ensemble of eight singers.
In October 2025 she was accepted into the Accademia Teatro alla Scala (Oct 2025–Jun 2027), one of the world's most selective opera training programmes. Her debut at Teatro alla Scala followed in December 2025, in the title role of Sebastiano Colasanti's Anna A. — an Accademia production on the main stage of La Scala.
Her parallel concert career encompasses recurring projects including Debisī. Ir jāpiedzīvo, a concert-story performed across multiple cities with pianist Daniil Mickevich (Riga, Rēzekne, Valmiera, 2024–25), and concerts for the Pēteris Vasks Foundation at Mežotne and the Spīķeri Concert Hall. She has been featured in broadcasts on Latvian Radio 3 / Klasika.
